Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex urban policy issues using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for city council and mayor's office
- Lead stakeholder engagement sessions with community groups and industry partners
- Prepare comprehensive policy briefs and legislative testimony documents
- Monitor implementation of adopted policies and evaluate outcomes
- Manage interdepartmental task forces for cross-functional initiatives
- Stay current on federal/state regulations affecting municipal governance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Urban Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit sector
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (R, SPSS, Stata) and GIS tools
- Demonstrated success in developing policy frameworks for municipal challenges
- Exceptional written communication with published policy papers
- Experience with Atlanta's legislative processes preferred
- Valid Georgia driver's license required
