Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex state policies across healthcare, education, and economic development sectors
- Develop legislative recommendations and draft policy briefings for state leadership
- Coordinate inter-agency task forces to implement statewide strategic initiatives
- Conduct stakeholder engagement with community organizations and industry partners
- Monitor federal regulatory changes and assess impacts on New York operations
- Prepare quantitative reports using statistical analysis tools
- Represent the department in public hearings and legislative sessions
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Deep knowledge of New York State legislative processes
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders
- Valid NYS driver's license
