Responsibilities
- Analyze complex state legislation and regulations for policy implications
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and recommendations for legislative leadership
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research on emerging public issues
- Coordinate interdepartmental task forces for cross-agency initiatives
- Present findings to legislative committees and senior officials
- Monitor federal policy changes affecting North Carolina
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government policy analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPSS, R)
- Deep knowledge of North Carolina state government operations
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Active North Carolina state security clearance
