Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze state workforce policies using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Collaborate with legislative stakeholders to draft policy recommendations and legislative proposals
- Conduct economic impact assessments and program evaluations for state-funded initiatives
- Present findings to senior leadership and public committees through data-driven reports
- Oversee cross-agency projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Monitor emerging workforce trends and propose adaptive policy frameworks
- Manage grant programs and budget allocations for workforce development initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or related field (Bachelor's with 5+ years experience considered)
- Minimum 3 years experience in government policy analysis or public sector research
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, Stata) and data visualization tools
- Demonstrated success in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
- Strong understanding of Texas state government operations and legislative processes
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement
- Professional certification (e.g., PPFA, PMP) preferred
