Responsibilities
- Lead epidemiological investigations for disease outbreaks and health emergencies
- Analyze population health data to identify trends and inform policy decisions
- Develop and implement evidence-based health intervention programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public health emergency preparedness
- Present findings to county commissioners, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders
- Secure and manage grants for public health initiatives
- Oversee compliance with state and federal health regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public health analysis or policy
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, SAS)
- Strong knowledge of NC public health systems and regulations
- Valid NC driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience managing health data with HIPAA compliance
- Proven grant writing and budget management skills
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) preferred
