- Coordinate with elected officials on public messaging alignment
- Analyze public sentiment data to optimize communication approaches
- Mentor junior staff on government communication protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in government/public sector communications
- Proven crisis communication management during high-stakes situations
- Expertise in digital content creation and social media analytics
- California Public Records Act compliance knowledge
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Portfolio demonstrating successful public campaigns
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
