Responsibilities
- Analyze crime trends and emergency response data to develop strategic public safety initiatives
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire departments, and community stakeholders
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and department leadership
- Oversee implementation of grant-funded safety programs
- Lead cross-functional teams during emergency preparedness drills
- Advise on policy improvements using quantitative and qualitative research
- Manage public safety technology deployments and data systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of public safety or government experience
- Advanced certification in emergency management or data analysis
- Proficiency in GIS software and statistical analysis tools
- Valid California Driver's License
- Experience with municipal budget processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background clearance
