Responsibilities
- Analyze crime and emergency response data using advanced statistical methods and GIS mapping
- Develop predictive models to identify high-risk areas and optimize resource allocation
- Collaborate with police, fire, and emergency management teams to implement data-driven strategies
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city leadership and public safety committees
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance public safety protocols and community engagement
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in public safety analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Data Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in public safety analytics or government data analysis
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS)
- Strong knowledge of crime analysis methodologies and emergency management frameworks
- Valid New Mexico driver's license and ability to work flexible hours
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization platforms
- Clear background check and ability to obtain security clearance
