Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response protocols during natural disasters and public safety incidents
- Develop and implement community outreach programs for disaster preparedness
- Analyze risk assessment data and recommend strategic mitigation measures
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies during crisis situations
- Train municipal staff and public volunteers in emergency response procedures
- Manage resource allocation and logistics during emergency operations
- Prepare comprehensive incident reports and post-event analysis documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public safety or emergency response
- Certification in Incident Command System (ICS-300) or equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency management software
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure during crisis situations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
