Responsibilities
- Design and supervise municipal infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, and public facilities
- Manage project budgets exceeding $5M and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Ensure ADA compliance and environmental sustainability in all engineering plans
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and permit applications for city council approval
- Lead public outreach initiatives to address community concerns about development projects
- Maintain GIS databases and engineering documentation systems
- Collaborate with state agencies on grant-funded transportation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- 5+ years of progressive engineering experience with municipal government
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI ArcGIS
- Experience with federal grant programs (e.g., FHWA, EPA)
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Strong knowledge of IPC and AWC building codes
- Proven ability to manage multi-year capital improvement projects
