Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain on-premise and cloud-based server environments (Windows Server, Linux).
- Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and proactively troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive county data and network integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support digital transformation initiatives and software deployments.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
- Conduct regular system audits and disaster recovery planning to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced government environment.
