Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Parish's server infrastructure, including virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect sensitive government data and prevent cyber threats.
- Configure and troubleshoot hardware and software systems for government employees across multiple departments.
- Oversee data backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable IT solutions.
- Perform regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or IT support.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or VMware Certified Professional are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
