Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the daily operations of server environments, including Windows Server and Linux systems.
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- Provide advanced Level 3 technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and external stakeholders.
- Conduct system backups, disaster recovery planning, and routine maintenance audits.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure hardware and software compliance and manage software licensing.
- Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
- Train junior IT staff and coordinate with department heads on technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration, preferably within a government or large-scale enterprise environment.
- Certification such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CISSP is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP) and cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical personnel.
- Ability to work flexible hours during critical system maintenance windows.
