Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain server environments using Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Security Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive government data against cyber threats.
- System Optimization: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize resource allocation.
- Backup & Recovery: Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular data backups to ensure business continuity.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical guidance and support to junior administrators and internal IT teams.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration within a large-scale enterprise or government environment.
- Certifications: Active certification such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or CCNP is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Active Directory, PowerShell, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen to meet government security requirements.
