Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage complex Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Ensure the security and integrity of network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support major agency projects and digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior administrators and IT staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform regular backups, disaster recovery testing, and system audits to ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or IT Support.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or CCNA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
