Responsibilities
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for system development and enhancement.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions and database architectures for municipal applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including government stakeholders, to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
- Perform system testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security compliance.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance on best practices for government IT standards.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend security improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems analysis, software development, or database management.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience working within a government or public sector environment is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain necessary government security clearances.
