Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the county's core IT infrastructure and database systems.
- Develop and implement robust security protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technical requirements and deliver scalable software solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor junior analysts and IT staff on best practices and new technologies.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee third-party IT service delivery.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate system logs for regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in systems analysis within a government or large enterprise setting.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Proven experience with cybersecurity frameworks and FISMA compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple technical projects.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (required for on-site government duties).
