The Role
In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will lead system architecture projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that enhance state operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end analysis, design, and implementation of complex IT systems and software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
- Oversee system integrations and ensure seamless data flow between legacy and modern applications.
- Mentor junior analysts and provide technical guidance on best practices for software development and database management.
- Conduct thorough system testing, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on budget and schedule.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for state agency needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or software engineering.
- Proven experience with SQL, Java, Python, or cloud-based platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a government or large-scale enterprise environment is a strong plus.
- Certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, or Salesforce Administrator are highly desirable.
