Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical SEO Specialist to drive organic growth and technical excellence for a leading enterprise in New York City. You will act as the bridge between our engineering and marketing teams, optimizing site architecture, improving crawlability, and ensuring our digital assets dominate search rankings.
In this pivotal role, you will lead complex site migrations, implement Schema markup, and analyze Core Web Vitals to enhance user experience and search visibility. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive technical audits to identify crawl errors, indexing issues, and site speed bottlenecks.
- Lead the implementation of on-page and off-page technical SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings.
- Collaborate closely with web developers to fix code-level issues and improve site architecture for better user navigation.
- Optimize site performance metrics, specifically focusing on Core Web Vitals and page load times.
- Manage and optimize XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, and canonical tags across multiple domains.
- Monitor search performance using Google Search Console and other analytics tools to report on progress and ROI.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to keep the company ahead of the curve.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience in Technical SEO, preferably within the US market.
- Deep understanding of Google's Search Central guidelines, including core web vitals and indexing rules.
- Proficiency in using SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and SEMrush.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic server-side languages (e.g., Python, PHP) to communicate technical requirements effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable optimization strategies.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
