Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive transportation planning studies and corridor analyses
- Develop multimodal transportation plans integrating transit, bike, and pedestrian infrastructure
- Prepare federal funding applications and grant proposals
- Conduct traffic impact studies and environmental assessments
- Coordinate with municipal agencies and stakeholders on project implementation
- Manage project budgets and timelines using government procurement protocols
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- PE license or AICP certification required
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS) and transportation modeling tools
- Expertise in federal transportation regulations (MAP-21, FAST Act)
- Demonstrated experience with NEPA documentation processes
- Strong quantitative analysis and report writing abilities
- Valid Illinois driver's license
