Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive urban transportation plans aligned with SFMTA's strategic goals
- Analyze transportation data to identify infrastructure gaps and improvement opportunities
- Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives for integrated transit development
- Lead community engagement sessions to gather stakeholder input
- Prepare detailed policy recommendations and implementation roadmaps
- Manage capital improvement projects with budgets exceeding $50M
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal transportation planning
- Expertise in GIS mapping and transportation modeling software
- Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional AICP certification preferred
