Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive urban planning projects including downtown revitalization and zoning reform initiatives
- Develop data-driven policy recommendations aligned with Baltimore's master plan and sustainability goals
- Facilitate community engagement sessions with diverse stakeholders and residents
- Analyze demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform planning decisions
- Coordinate with engineering, transportation, and housing departments for integrated project delivery
- Prepare grant proposals and manage federal/state funding opportunities
- Mentor junior planners and supervise technical staff
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal planning or public sector development
- Expertise in zoning codes, land use regulations, and Maryland planning statutes
- Advanced proficiency in GIS software and urban modeling tools
- Proven track record in community outreach and stakeholder collaboration
- Strong analytical skills with experience in demographic and economic analysis
- Valid Maryland driver's license and ability to travel to community sites
