Responsibilities
- Develop and implement state government policies aligned with Texas regulatory frameworks
- Manage public program operations ensuring compliance with federal and state statutes
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve agency objectives and performance metrics
- Analyze complex datasets to inform policy decisions and budget allocations
- Represent the agency in stakeholder meetings with local government entities
- Conduct regular audits of program effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Coordinate emergency response protocols for regional incidents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of government or public sector experience
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau)
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to travel statewide
- Strong knowledge of Texas state government operations and statutes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification in public administration (CPM, MPA) highly desirable
