Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects ranging from software development to infrastructure upgrades.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for government officials, department heads, and vendors, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure all project activities adhere to state and federal procurement laws, IT security standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Agile Implementation: Drive the adoption of Agile/Scrum methodologies to enhance team productivity and deliver value incrementally.
- Resource Allocation: Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2 years in a government or public sector environment.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project) and a solid understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and regulations.
