Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring 99.9% uptime for government systems.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving complex hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance monitoring, and capacity planning to optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and upgrade software applications and database systems.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and incident reports to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA) will be considered.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in IT support, systems administration, or network engineering within a government or enterprise environment.
- Deep knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including firewall management and vulnerability assessments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be eligible for a State of Massachusetts background check and security clearance.
