Responsibilities
- Provide tier 2 and tier 3 technical support to state employees and the public via phone, email, and in-person.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues across a diverse range of operating systems and devices.
- Maintain and update computer systems, networks, and peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of new hardware and software for departmental needs.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and technical procedures in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to implement security protocols and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical support, helpdesk, or a related IT role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
- Experience with troubleshooting printers, scanners, and network connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a valid state government security clearance.
