Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage: Direct the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and managing expectations effectively.
- Agile Methodology: Utilize Agile and Scrum frameworks to drive project velocity and adapt to changing requirements in a fast-paced government environment.
- Resource Allocation: Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and subject matter experts, to maximize efficiency and resolve conflicts.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all project activities comply with state regulations, ISO standards, and agency policies while maintaining accurate documentation.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or scope creep.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the public sector or a similar complex environment.
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, MS Project, and Confluence.
- Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Government Knowledge: Understanding of state procurement processes and IT governance structures is a plus.
