Responsibilities
- Assist the public and state employees with pension plan inquiries and benefit questions.
- Process and review new retirement applications and benefit claims with high accuracy.
- Enter and update member data into the state pension database and records management systems.
- Perform routine audits of pension documents to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance departments to resolve complex member issues.
- Prepare and maintain weekly reports on pension plan activity and statistics.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for public interaction.
- Willingness to undergo a state background check and fingerprinting.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced office.
