Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned highways and communities to enforce traffic laws and prevent criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and public safety incidents with urgency and professionalism
- Conduct thorough investigations of traffic collisions, crimes, and suspicious activities
- Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to maintain comprehensive public safety networks
- Provide community outreach and education programs to promote safe driving practices

Qualifications
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Basic Peace Officer certification or eligibility to obtain immediately
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- U.S. citizenship and minimum age of 21 years
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
- Ability to pass rigorous physical fitness and medical examinations
- Successful completion of comprehensive background investigation and polygraph examination
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
