Responsibilities
- Develop and implement multimodal transportation plans for Philadelphia County
- Analyze traffic data using GIS and modeling software to optimize infrastructure investments
- Coordinate with city officials and community stakeholders on public transit expansions
- Manage capital improvement projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Prepare federal grant applications and compliance documentation
- Conduct environmental impact assessments under NEPA guidelines
- Mentor junior planners and oversee project deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of transportation planning experience in public sector
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, TransCAD, and traffic simulation software
- Pennsylvania PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with federal grant programs (FHWA, FTA)
- Strong analytical writing skills for technical reports
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Knowledge of Title VI compliance and equity planning
