Responsibilities
- Operate advanced X-ray scanners and explosive detection systems to screen passengers, baggage, and cargo
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and physical inspections to detect prohibited items
- Monitor security checkpoints and implement emergency response protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed screening logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security threat assessments
- Train new officers on TSA security procedures and equipment operation
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid government security clearance
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
