Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, baggage, and cargo using advanced detection equipment
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and bag inspections to ensure compliance with TSA regulations
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems
- Identify and report suspicious items or activities to supervisors
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with diverse travelers
- Enforce security protocols at airport checkpoints and transportation hubs
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Fluent English communication skills (verbal/written)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Must work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Successful completion of TSA training program
