Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced X-ray and detection equipment
- Conduct thorough physical searches of persons and baggage as required by security protocols
- Monitor airport operations and identify suspicious behavior or security threats
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Operate metal detectors, CT scanners, and explosive detection systems
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate activity logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- US citizenship or legal permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass extensive background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSA Cred)
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages valued)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- US residency within 50 miles of Tulsa International Airport
- Successful completion of TSA training academy program
