Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough passenger screening using advanced X-ray technology and manual pat-down techniques
- Inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items and security threats
- Operate state-of-the-art screening equipment including EDS and ETD systems
- Enforce TSA security regulations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to security alerts and emergency situations per established protocols
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and incident reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- US citizenship required
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with screening technologies
- Valid government-issued photo ID and Social Security card
