Responsibilities
- Operate advanced screening equipment (X-ray, millimeter wave) to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage
- Conduct thorough physical screenings of passengers and property following TSA protocols
- Monitor airport operations and identify potential security threats through behavioral detection techniques
- Provide excellent customer service while explaining security procedures to diverse travelers
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Adhere to all TSA policies and federal regulations regarding security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ability to pass a background investigation and security clearance
- Valid U.S. driver's license (required)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience in customer service or security screening preferred
