Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Maintain constant vigilance for suspicious activities and security threats
- Enforce TSA security protocols while providing courteous passenger assistance
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Operate and maintain screening equipment in optimal condition
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Pass rigorous background investigation and security clearance
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
