Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray technology, metal detectors, and manual search techniques
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items and threats
- Operate complex security equipment including CT scanners, explosive trace detection devices, and alarm resolution systems
- Maintain vigilant surveillance of public areas and report suspicious activities or security breaches
- Enforce TSA security regulations while providing courteous assistance to travelers with special needs
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (mandatory requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Successfully complete TSA training academy program
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds
- Valid U.S. driver's license (if required for role duties)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
