Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other TSA-approved screening equipment
- Conduct thorough physical and electronic screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo
- Identify and report potential security threats according to established protocols
- Provide clear instructions to passengers during security screening processes
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Ensure compliance with TSA Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid U.S. driver's license
