Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using advanced X-ray and imaging technology
- Conduct thorough physical searches of individuals and property as required
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and suspicious behavior
- Operate metal detectors, explosive trace detection systems, and other security equipment
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and conflict resolution skills
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of security activities and incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English communication (reading/writing/speaking)
- Basic computer skills for operating security systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- No visible tattoos on face or neck (covered tattoos permitted)
