Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections to detect prohibited items
- Operate security equipment and maintain accurate documentation of screening activities
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing TSA regulations with professionalism
- Respond to security alerts and suspicious activities following established protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding security procedures and passenger information
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with valid documentation
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions or pending criminal charges
- Successful completion of TSA's required training programs
