Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray and CT scanners to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage searches per TSA protocols
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes
- Manage security checkpoint queues while maintaining professional demeanor
- Identify and report suspicious items or behavior to supervisors
- Enforce TSA regulations with sensitivity and respect for travelers
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate records
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours)
- Basic computer literacy for screening equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 70 pounds
- Valid state driver's license (if operating airport vehicles)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and medical evaluation
