Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage to detect weapons, explosives, and other dangerous items.
- Operate advanced X-ray screening equipment and other security technologies to analyze images.
- Interact professionally and courteously with the public while enforcing security directives.
- Monitor behavior and physical indicators to identify potential security threats.
- Complete and maintain all required training and certification records.
- Report any security breaches, suspicious activity, or policy violations immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient airport operations.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug test.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs and pass a physical agility test.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary) and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
