Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct thorough physical screenings of persons and property to detect prohibited items
- Implement TSA security protocols with precision and professionalism
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining firm security standards
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
- Stay current with evolving security regulations and threat assessment techniques
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Proficient in English communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Must pass TSA's Security Screening Skills Assessment
