Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on items using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and advanced imaging technology
- Conduct thorough physical searches when required by security protocols
- Verify identification documents and boarding passes against passenger manifests
- Monitor security checkpoints and report suspicious activities or items
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security regulations
- Operate security equipment and maintain accurate screening logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic computer proficiency for screening equipment operation
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Pass TSA security screening and medical evaluation
- Strong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
