Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect and prevent prohibited items from entering secure airport areas.
- Operate X-ray machines and other screening equipment to inspect baggage and personal belongings.
- Conduct pat-down searches and wand screenings as necessary.
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to security incidents or suspicious activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist passengers with screening procedures.
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to TSA policies, procedures, and security protocols.
Qualifications
- United States citizenship.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Pass a background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSA Credentialed).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate screening equipment and follow detailed procedures.
