Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and baggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct thorough security checks at airport checkpoints and screening areas
- Operate complex security equipment including EDS, trace detection, and walk-through metal detectors
- Enforce TSA security regulations and procedures with professionalism and cultural sensitivity
- Respond to security alerts and emergency situations following established protocols
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Valid state driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Successfully complete TSA training academy program
