Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray machines and manual inspection techniques
- Conduct pat-down searches and identify prohibited items per TSA regulations
- Operate advanced security technology including CT scanners and explosive detection systems
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and screening operations
- Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport staff during security incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid driver's license (if required for airport access)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
