Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and other TSA-provided screening equipment
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage screening procedures
- Monitor security checkpoints and identify potential security threats
- Communicate professionally with travelers during screening processes
- Maintain accurate screening documentation and incident reports
- Adhere to TSA protocols and security standards
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
- Proficient in English (written and verbal communication)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
