Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage using advanced X-ray technology and manual inspection techniques
- Monitor security checkpoints to detect prohibited items and potential threats
- Operate metal detectors, CT scanners, and explosive detection systems
- Conduct pat-down searches and baggage inspections as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents and daily operations
- Provide courteous customer service while enforcing security protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency and strong observational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
