Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and physical inspections when necessary
- Monitor security checkpoints and ensure compliance with TSA protocols and procedures
- Respond to security alerts and incidents with calm professionalism
- Operate advanced screening equipment and maintain accurate documentation
- Provide excellent customer service to travelers during screening processes
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be available to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
